About the Maker Faire Rochester

A Maker Faire is About Celebrating Learning and Doing

Featuring both established and emerging local “makers,” the Rochester Mini Maker Faire is a family-friendly celebration featuring rockets and robots, digital fabrication, DIY science and technology, urban farming and sustainability, alternative energy, bicycles, unique hand-made crafts, music and local food, and educational workshops and installations.

2019 marks the sixth anniversary of the Rochester Mini Maker Faire.

The Rochester Mini Maker Faire celebrated its first event in November of 2014 with over 90 maker exhibits from across Western New York and 1,500 visitors of all ages in attendance. In 2015, we had 115 maker exhibits and approximately 3,000 attendees.

About Maker Faire:

Maker Faire originated in 2006 in the San Francisco Bay Area as a project of the editors of Make: magazine. It has since grown into a significant worldwide network of both flagship and independently-produced events.
